GANALLA

OVERVIEW

Ganalla [Gahn-all-ah] (Singular: Ganalla) (adj. Gannallan) are a hybrid species produced by a Crysalla sire and a Gannea dam. The Gannea dam can be female or neutral sexed.

  • Ganalla are rather rare in society– as it wasn’t always commonly known that Crysalla and Gannea could reproduce together.
  • Ganalla are crepescular.
  • Ganalla possess a Soul Stone on their chests, inherited by their Crysalla parent.
  • Ganalla are omnivorous.
  • Ganalla are mesotherms.
  • Female and Neutral Ganalla begin their menstrual cycle at 150 years of age and ovulate once every 5 years. The gestation period is a decade.
  • Ganalla are born in their Gannean form.
  • Ganalla display any Crysalla or Gannean traits and mutations.

ANATOMY

Ganalla have two forms, their Draconian form and their Gannean form, with the ability to shift between them with ease.

Draconian Forms

Ganalla naturally have four legs and two wings, with a Soul Stone on their chests, but their anatomy varies greatly by subtype.

  • Ganalla have a toothed, jagged beak, two ears, and four pure white superposition compound eyes.
  • Ganalla inherit their wings from their Gannean dam– and will display any of the five types of Gannean wings.
  • Ganalla inherit their body subtype from their Crysalla sire– and will display any of the three subtypes of Crysalla.
  • Ganalla are categorized by their Gannean subtype– determined by their wing type.

standard Ganalla
  • Thick, muscular, sturdy bodies. Large front legs, straight back, thin hind legs, and stiff tail. These Ganalla are built for strength, and aren’t very flexible.
  • May survive without water for up to 10 days, and up to 5 weeks without eating.

serpentine Ganalla
  • Long, elongated and flexible bodies. Smaller front legs, curving back, thin hind legs, and flexible tail. These Ganalla are built for speed, and are taller and longer than the standard of the same age.
  • May survive without water for up to 10 days, and up to 3 weeks without eating.

Dwarf Ganalla
  • Small, thick, and fat bodies. Thicker legs, short back, and fat deposits in the tail. Smallest Ganalla, and often mistaken for youth. Not to be confused with achondroplasia.
  • May survive without water for up to 20 days, and without eating for 15 weeks, relying on metabolizing fat stores.

Gannean Forms

Ganalla come in five distinct subtypes; Mammalian, Avian, Reptilian, Aquatic, and Crystalline.

  • Ganalla have nipples and a belly button.
  • Ganalla can grow fur, hair, or feathers on their bodies
  • Ganalla can display any human phenotype.
  • Ganalla ears and tails are highly mobile and expressive! They have extremely good hearing.
mammalian ganalla
  • The Mammalian Ganalla are the closest to their ancestral species, and the smallest. They bear hair, fur, feathered wings, and most commonly, antlers.
Avian ganalla
  • The Avian Ganalla are the second smallest Ganalla type. They bear hair, feathers, feathered wings with claws, and most commonly, keratin horns.
Reptilian ganalla
  • The Reptilian Ganalla are the third largest Ganalla type. They bear hair,  scales, feathered leather wings, and most commonly, ossicones.
aquatic ganalla
  • The Aquatic Ganalla are the second largest Ganalla type. They bear hair, scales, fins, leather wings, and most commonly, bone horns.
crystalline ganalla

The Crystalline Ganalla are the largest of the Ganalla types. They bear hair, scales, crystal growths, and have crystallized horns

SEXES

Ganalla have three sexes, like their Gannean dam, and display sexual trimorphism. They have male (man), female (woman), and neutral (neuter).

  • Female Ganalla have XX chromosomes, an estrogen-based endocrine system, a vagina with a clitoris, uterus, and ovaries. Females have a placenta and can birth twins or triplets. Females grow permanent breasts. They can reproduce with both neutrals and males as the dam. They are shorter and curvier on average. Females use she/her pronouns.
  • Neutral Ganalla have XZ chromosomes, a progesterone-based endocrine system, a cloaca-like organ called a slit with an enlarged clitoris similar to a metoidioplasty, a uterus, an internal sperm-producing teste on the left side of their body, and an egg-producing ovary on the right side of their body. Neutrals lack a placenta and can only birth one child at a time, because they will absorb each other in utero. Neutrals grow temporary breasts during pregnancy that shrink when the child is weaned. They can reproduce with females as the sire similar to a cloacal kiss, and with males as the dam via penetration. They are mid-sized and leaner on average. Neutrals use they/them pronouns.
  • Male Ganalla have XY chromosomes, a testosterone-based endocrine system, and a penis with testes, and no practice of circumcision. All male Ganalla are capable of growing facial hair by the age of 200, and most do to differentiate themselves from neutrals. They can reproduce with both females and neutrals as the sire. They are taller and more muscular on average. Males use he/him pronouns.
  • Ganalla have a cultural gender trinary, however they have no assigned gender roles.
  • Intersex Ganalla can exist, although they will be assigned one sex. Intersex Ganalla can have any chromosomal arrangement, such as XYY, XXY, XXZ, XZY…
  • Transgender Ganalla can exist, however they cannot change their assigned sex. Transgender Ganalla may pursue HRT via monthly potion intake. There is no cultural transphobia in Gallan society.
  • Nontrinary, Agender, Genderfluid, etc. Ganalla can exist, and use any pronouns or any HRT treatment if they so desire.
  • Ganalla have a Pannormative society. There is no cultural sexuality-based oppression. Ganalla use the terms Pansexual for attraction to three sexes, Bisexual for attraction to one same and one different, Polysexual for attraction to two different, Homosexual for attraction to the same sex, Gynesexual for attraction to solely females, Androsexual for attraction to solely males, and Androgynesexual for attraction to solely neutrals.

aging and growth

Ganalla can live up to 5,000 years. Ganalla age rapidly and then slow down past 250. 1 human year = 50 Ganalla years.

  • Ganalla age/50 = human equivalent (Ex. 3000/50= 60 human years).
  • Ganalla come of age at 200 years (equivalent 20 human years).
  • Ganalla’s maximum height in Gannean form is 9’, and maximum height in draconic form at the shoulder is 20’.
