Design Rules
- All Crysalla must have a Soul Stone on their chest.
- A Crysalla’s claws, blood, and flesh must be a color that is on their Soul Stone.
- All Crysalla must have five digits on each limb, unless the Polydactyly mutation is used, or the Crysalla has otherwise lost a digit (i.e. fingers, toes, does not apply to wing digits).
- Designs and characters themed off of media properties/characters are allowed; so long as they do not resemble any intellectual property directly. No logos!
- Aquilla are available to make; however each Aquilla counts as a mutation in and of itself; a Common MYO Slot will only allow for an Aquilla without additional mutations.
- Remember that magical mutations, including elemental affinities, that don’t affect the character’s design also count towards your mutation total.
Designing your Crysalla:
Step 1: Choose a body type! Crysalla come in Standard, Serpentine, and Dwarf body types.
Step 2: Choose a Soul Stone! Soul Stones may come in any shape, and be any material classified as a gemstone. There are over 300 natural gemstones to choose from!
Step 3: Mutations! From 0-3, depending on your MYO slot tier. Don’t want any? Don’t add any!
- Is your Crysalla a coastal dweller? They may have several Aquilla mutations to choose from!
- Is your Crysalla’s Soul Stone a poisonous mineral? They may have Venom!
- Is your Crysalla a weaver? They may be Wooly!
Step 4: Traits! Any traits described that aren’t mutations are perfectly free to use to your heart’s content! Need help picking traits?
- Remember Crysalla are evolutionarily adapted to their environments, think of where your Crysalla may live, or who their parents would have been! Does your Crysalla live in the desert, whether the blistering sands of West and South’s domain or the frozen tundra of North’s? They may have a gecko tail for storing fat reserves! Is your Crysalla native to cold climates? They may have a lot of filaments to keep them warm! Does your Crysalla live in dense forests? They may have elliptical wings for controlled flight, or a prehensile tail for gripping tree branches!
- Think of your Crysalla’s personality or occupation! Are they a soldier? They may have thick, plated scales and sharp spines to defend themselves. Is your Crysalla vain? They may have decorative display feathers, or long, flowing hair!
Step 5: Clothing! A Crysalla spends years designing and creating their clothing, often scrapping designs and changing them as they grow.
- Primary Clothing is enchanted as it’s created to shift with the Crysalla. It’s worn in both forms. Secondary Clothing is not enchanted, and worn only in the bipedal forms.
- A Crysalla’s clothing reflects their personality and identity. Does your Crysalla have an attention to detail? They may have sewn very ornate embroidery into their fabric.
- A Crysalla’s choice of textile will reflect where they live, and their class. A Crysalla decked out in silks or fabric woven from Crysalla wool is very wealthy! A Crysalla may wear wool in cold climates! Crysalla have cotton, flax, hemp, ramie, jute, abaca, wool, and cloth of gold, silver, and copper available to them.
- A Crysalla may change their clothing throughout their adulthood if they experience a life-changing event. From a loved one’s death, or a near death experience, A Crysalla’s trauma may literally be woven into their fabric! Erratic stitching, muted, dark colors…
- Jewelry is similarly created and enchanted by the Crysalla themself. Natural gemstones, bones, metals, rope, etc. are all options available to Crysalla!
Step 6: Choose a patron God! Think of what your character values, what their occupation is, or what climate they’re native to.
Step 7: Submit your Crysalla to linsaangs for approval! Crysalla need at least one fullbody image of their draconian form to be approved, for the masterlist entry.
